I'm not sure how many of you wonderful newsletter subscribers wait with anticipation for when the colour of the year is announced - every year in the month of December.

2020's colour of the year is Classic Blue, Pantone Blue 19-4052 and we have been paying close attention here at the store.

Blue is back and I quote that "Classic Blue is associated with the return of another day, this universal favourite is comfortably embraced and brings a sense of peace and tranquility to the human spirit, offering refuge"

This doesn't mean you have to paint every room blue or even change things drastically. Blue has the magic of working with many colours - silver, cranberry, bronze, white, canary, peach, wheat, lavender, mustard and I could go on. Pop a blue storage box on the coffee table, add a blue vase to a hall table, a big blue bowl on the kitchen island, blue napkins at the dinner table, a small area rug, some pillows on the couch or bed. Sounds easy doesn't it?

Just have fun - because at the end of the day - it sure would be good to come home to some of that peace and tranquility.
