We can't stop it so we might as well open our arms and welcome it! We've officially arrived in Autumn and that means a few things.
Leaves are falling, raking will soon begin, pumpkins and all kinds of gourds are surfacing, mums are gracing nurseries and corner stores, turkeys and festive food will soon be on everyone's grocery lists and the weather ... wellll, the weather is chillier.
I spent last Saturday, which was a brilliant day, cleaning out my garden pots, tidying up outside and putting away the patio furniture. There is always great satisfaction in that yet I will miss the warm sun and puttering in the garden. It's therapy for my heart and mind.
So much to come in the next 3 months. We'll hopefully be able to gather normally again for Thanksgiving Day and then Christmas will be just around the corner. Someone asked me just the other day ... What are you doing for Thanksgiving? I drew a complete blank and had an emotional realization moment. My world will certainly be a lot different and a lot more quiet.
Here at the store, we always have a million things on the go and we love this time of year when entertaining with family and friends is at its all time high. We so enjoy helping you make these special days ahead even that more special.
Whatever you may need - be it extra seating, stemware, a bigger set of dishes, items to help in preparing a guest room or necessities for the dinner table - please always keep us in mind.
With the rising cost of just about everything - and as with most retail stores, we are greatly affected when it comes to the bottom line, so every single item that finds a new home helps get us through from month to month.
Small businesses like ours need your constant support. You have been so gracious over all of these years and I know you're thinking about us while we've muddled through some very tough life altering times.
We are still here because of you and because of our determination to keep motorong through.
Here are 120 new arrivals that we have welcomed through our doors. Give one of them a home! We'd love to see all 120 leave!
