Apparently, this long weekend holds the busiest days on our highways to either head up to the cottage, possibly indulge in a little camping or simply take a scenic drive exploring nature.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your lovely condolence messages that have come to me. We celebrated Mom's funeral on Tuesday morning and it was the most beautiful send off for an amazing woman and a very special Mom. My world has significantly changed but I know deep in my soul that she is at peace because she was ready.

It would be remiss of me not to send my love and thankfulness to all of you who have reached out to me to send your thoughts and prayers about my Mom.

My Mom is gravely ill and doesn't have much more time with us. She was diagnosed with Esophageal Cancer just 4 days ago and it has metastasized very quickly affecting many other organs. With such a feisty spirit and a young heart inside an 89 year old body - this was not what I would ever have envisioned for her to have to go through.
